So you want to open a restaurant? Do it for the right reasons!
This workshop will help you understand the risks and work involved. It will discuss financing and franchising, and what it takes to open a restaurant, including facilities, location, hiring, training, menu selection, pricing, permits, food sanitation certification and more.

Our Presenter is: Bill Hess, SCORE Mentor
Bill is a restaurateur with over 45 years of experience in the restaurant industry. He has worked for both corporate and franchise units, and has owned and operated two restaurants of his own. Bill has opened 13 new restaurants and has extensive experience with fast food and full-service restaurants. His education includes a BA from Valparaiso University and a diploma in Restaurant Management from LaSalle Extension University. Bill has also received training at McDonalds “Hamburger U” in Oakbrook and at Burger King’s “Whopper College” in Miami. Bill currently serves as the Chapter Chair for Fox Valley SCORE and has been a SCORE mentor for over 4 years.
